1. Every summer there are appeals

for food and alternate feeding programs spring up for children.
It's a constant fact, and has been for generations, that when the school breakfast & lunch program shut down in summer, many children do not get enough to eat.
The young are not like middle-aged me. They really need food, and specific types of food at specific times of life and even the day.
If a child starves, even for a short period of time, he or she may be affected in functioning or structure for life.
Rush, you can't get away from this truth either.
Neither can any of us.
