Two grown men behave like two grown men and THAT'S a big story in the world of major league baseball? The Detroit Tigers should be proud that they have at least one adult playing for them. The rest of MLB should hang their heads in shame.

9. It made no sense?

No worries, I will type slowly so that you can follow. In short, not every video here is political. This is indirectly political because the person making the videos is a regular contributor of Political videos. Here is a helpful hint...You can usually tell from the title about what the video is going to be about. Just curious....What part of "I hate Sports: MLB is pathetic" made you think it would be a political video?

12. Obviously it's not a political video.
Edited on Fri Jun-04-10 08:33 PM by HuckleB
Except that this guy is trying to make a political point, where none exists, thus he ends up making no point other than to look bitter and foolish.

Hmmm.

You better keep an eye on him. He might walk on your lawn or stay up late talking on his porch.

15. Why Not.
I visit Democratic Underground almost every day and am a monthly financial donor (wish it could be more) and I routinely see all sorts of non-political news story's posted here and discussed/argued about at great length. Someone famous dies, and you can always count on their death notice to pop up in the videos section. That said, much of the story I am ranting about in my video has to do with the Mainstream Media News Machine which has, for better or worse, become impossibly intertwined with the Political World. They routinely spin stories (which ever way suits their purposes) in order to elicit the response they think we will most enjoy. That's why FOX takes every story and spins it into an Anti-Obama/Left direction, telling their audience exactly what they want to hear. MSNBC does this as well, albeit to a much smaller degree. And the Mainstream News outlets did the same thing with THIS sports story. They told people how they were supposed to feel about it. The story here SHOULD have been that MLB needs to join the 21st century and start using instant replay, but instead they spun the story to be about the gallant behavior of the participants. A fight NOT breaking out should not have been a story.

8. Was it the title that threw you off?
Sure, it wasn't a political video, but by the title I think that it was pretty easy to figure that one out. So, if you actualy did create a video about how you hate eggs, I would probably watch it (that is just me. I have a lot of free time). But..... what I WOULDN'T do is watch it and then complain about you creating a video about your egg hating not being political enough. I am pretty sure that nobody is standing next ot you, holding a gun to your head, and forcing you to click on the play button.

13. It was the stupidity of the video itself.
How does MLB make anything a big story? It doesn't. The media must cover it. This is just a bored dude making a stupid video.

If I seemed bored to you, I have to apologize. I was going for seriously pissed off. I'll try harder next time. But thanks for watching anyhow.

18. Eggs
Well, I actually do like eggs quite a bit, but if you'd like to air your grievances about them, feel free. Personally, I think its nice to see something in the video stream once in a while that wasn't produced by MSNBC or FOXNEWS. Sometimes this place feel a little too much like the Keith Olbermann Fan Club -- which is not to say that I don't personally find him to be adorable when he's not talking about sports.

20. Well, I'd rather watch Keith Olbermann any day than your "breast cancer awareness" video
that consisted of going out on the street and asking women to bare their tits. The supposedly ha-ha funny joke being that you meant that they should go get a MAMMOGRAM. Ha-ha, so funny. :sarcasm:

21. Breast Cancer Awareness
That T-Shirt for Breast Cancer Awareness Month belongs to the actor who wore it. He's worn it every year for the past five, and has gotten nothing but compliments from everyone who's seen it. And the women in the video were all friends of ours who LOVED the idea and volunteered their time. Lighten up.

7. Yeah well, I don't care for sports either.
And you know what, I don't watch them and their existence and what happens in them doesn't bother me in the least, nor do I feel the need to look down on people that do like them or point out how much everyone involved in them sucks. The only time I hear anything of what happened in sports is when someone acted like a decent human being (A rare thing in any group these days). I doubt the percentage of wankers in MLB or any other sport is any higher than the percentage of wankers in any other really high paying celebrity field.

11. I might start watching/attending baseball games again if MLB gets a salary cap.
Baseball is like watching a bunch of bankers count money. Plus, it's hard to root for the Yankees when they just use their mountains of cash to buy a bunch of great players, make even more mountains of cash and repeat.

I'm a lifelong Yankees fan, but even I think it's just not fair that they can have so much money. The salary cap has worked extremely well in the NBA. The teams all have a chance to win since their owners can all spend the same amount of money on players.

It would do the same with MLB.
