24. If the SS is investigating THIS event

why the hell haven't they investigated all the other threats, or at the very least all the OVERT threats? There IS a lot of overt threats which have played out, and sometimes I think there is a message that these people can get away with almost anything they do.

The one that pisses me off the most is using bible verses as a signal to potential assassins--this was big about 7 months ago, and there were tee-shirts, mugs, mousepads, and plenty more that said essentially, "the bible says it's okay to kill the president."

I know that the SS is spread thin right now, but hell--hire new agents!! Even if they have to have agents from other agencies to come in and help, that would work too! Are we prepared to become active ourselves in reporting any threats we hear about to the SS? I would like to think we would. Putting teabaggers, freepers and generally disgusting morons on notice, where they would not be able to carry out any more threats, veiled or otherwise, would help to separate the instigators from the followers, I would think, and delineate whether something is a threat or the far right fringe of free speech.

Is this a slap in the face to American pride and tradition? Yes. Is it un-American to burn an effigy of the President? Yes. Do they have a right to do it? Yes, yes they do. Don't try and act as if liberals didn't do the same sort of thing with Bush when he was in office. I'm not some spamming conservative, I just think people can do what they want as long as its not hurting anyone else.
