1. Yes, the Auto-makers are showing a profit.
The auto exec's are getting huge bonuses. The workers are earning less (adjusted) than they were 40 years ago.

America has the most unequal wealth distribution of any country in the world. By and for the top 20%.
80% of Americans own 3% of the wealth.
Is this the America you want for your children?
Overall, America has the lowest rating for it's citizens welfare than any of the other "top 20 countries."

2. Agreed.
Being 19, I've been told since I was 10 when Bush took office that my future looks bleak due to corporate greed and mismanagement of precious fiscal resources.

Now, I feel more sorry for the generation born under Bush Jr. rather than myself - at least I'm aware of how screwed we are.

3. I see you have a good start in spreading the word...
I wish I were as cognizant when I was your age...I'm just getting going on my world-awareness outside of the American press, and I'm 28! Sometimes I think I could have made more difference back when W stole the election if I were only aware of what was really happening. It was my first time voting...voted democratic then and ever since even though I grew up in a devil-in-the-basement baptist republican household!

Welcome to DU! I'm excited to see a new generation of politically-active citizens!

4. George Bush and the Republicans sold this country to the corporations beginning in 2000
.The corporations wasn't about to give up their Golden Goose so they stole the 2004 election and financed the cover up.No here we are up against a very powerful corporate group and will probably never recover as middle class. Bush,Cheney, and all those involved in the fraud from 2000-Jan 2009 should be behind bars but no one has the balls to challenge these crooks for ruining our country.
Democrats will say "we must move on" ..Well certainly we must move on but we need to clean up our country and put these criminals behind bars.Does one really think anyone in Goldman and Sacs will be prosecuted? Oh there might be a few low levels get a slap on the wist but millions of dollars will buy the same cover up that has gone on for 8 or 9 years.
Yes President Obama can make all those impressive statements but his power is limited .He will talk but will not act..He too has said "we must move on"..In other words "these criminals got away with these crimes and we will not prosecute."
As for the auto industry..Well it was obvious that Republican refusal to support the auto loans originally was for the sole purpose of breaking the UAW..Well it didnt work.
I dont put the Auto Industry in the same class as the banking industry..While there may be auto execs making millions the small companies that are directly tied to the industry mean thousand of jobs too.
