What we need is a majority of the population capable of critical thinking. Whatever club you invent to beat the other side with will eventually be smacking you in the head. You don't seriously think, do you, that dems will retain the White House and Congressional majority in perpetuity? R's will get it back at some point. That's a fact of life. And when they do they'll use it to smack down YOUR talking heads even harder than you did theirs. The ONLY way to combat stupidity is with intelligence.

When you set someone (or a group of someones) up as the arbiter of "truth" you're creating a sword that WILL cut both ways.
