2. That raises a good question:

If people who don't have insurance, opt not to buy in, how will it make getting a group leverage/numbers necessary to lower premiums via exchanges?

5. Fairly easy.

A good number of people will have insurance. millions upon millions. The industry no matter what will have insurance. Why? Because ALL employers will now be forced to provide insurance to ALL their workers. No mater what. One of the biggest problems was that small businesses and even part time workers at companies were not getting insurance. That changes with the new laws. There is a mandate for companies who do not give insurance to their workers. Just not to individuals. And a strong number of people will be moving into medicaid and so forth, and there will be people who will join any number of plans because of the exchange.

When you open an exchange and open up state lines your going to force insurance companies to compete against one another. People will want cheaper prices, insurance companies as good capitalists, will always want to have the most customers for several reasons. 1. because they get more business and one tells one person it spreads---building customers by word of mouth.
2. because if one company signs on they'll sign on others and they don't want to lose those (this is for companies bringing in hundreds of people into insurance)
3. when you all sell the same product relatively you will all compete to lower prices to make the demand for your product more <--- very simple economics.

All in all, millions will have insurance. The number of people without insurance will mainly be illegal immigrants, who will still be dependent, and some youth. However, there will be a significant push for people to join. They do have to add something more--which will destabilize the insurance companies which is the public option---problem with that is Congress from the get go.

since the republicans have no meaningful policy to offer anyone....they only exist to help & protect the wealthy and the corporations interest....Who is aware is an absolute fucking dunce.
