Media has power, but you can pull something like this only a couple of times, or maybe even only once.

1. So, did these people learn nothing from Orson Welles' War of the Worlds-
-or were they inspired by it? That seems to be the question here.

2. Why do I think McCain and Randy Scheunemann did this on purpose? n/t

While Aide Advised McCain, His Firm Lobbied for Georgia
Campaign Dismisses Timing of Phone Call, Contract

By Matthew Mosk and Jeffrey H. Birnbaum

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Sen. John McCain's top foreign policy adviser prepped his boss for an April 17 phone call with the president of Georgia and then helped the presumptive Republican presidential nominee prepare a strong statement of support for the fledgling republic.

The day of the call, a lobbying firm partly owned by the adviser, Randy Scheunemann, signed a $200,000 contract to continue providing strategic advice to the Georgian government in Washington.

The McCain campaign said Georgia's lobbying contract with Orion Strategies had no bearing on the candidate's decision to speak with President Mikheil Saakashvili and did not influence his statement. "The Embassy of Georgia requested the call," said campaign spokesman Brian Rogers.

But ethics experts have raised concerns about former lobbyists for foreign governments providing advice to presidential candidates about those same countries. "The question is, who is the client? Is the adviser loyal to income from a foreign client, or is he loyal to the candidate he is working for now?" said James Thurber, a lobbying expert at American University. "It's dangerous if you're getting advice from people who are very close to countries on one side or another of a conflict."

3. And I thought he had enough to do with destroying the constitution at home

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two senior senators unveiled legislation on Thursday to require the military to hold, interrogate and prosecute certain terrorism suspects and also bar them from receiving legal rights afforded most criminals in the United States.

4. IMEDI reportage turns to be Saakashvili’s doing
Look, what I’ve found! There is a conclusive evidence of the fact that IMEDI’s Saturday reportage, which has raised serious panic all over Georgia, was deliberate and premeditated action of the Georgian government and was planned under president Saakashvlil’s auspice.
http://www.copoka.net/site.php?cat=down&idItem=472
Unfortunately it is not in English yet, but I’ am sure you’ll hear about it very soon! In fact there is a conversation between IMEDI’s General Manager and a certain company’s contributor - it perfectly shows that Saakashvili has known about the imminent info fake, all the more, IT WAS EXACTLY SAAKASHVILI WHO HAS INSISTED ON DEPICTING THE FAKE AS REALITY TO GAIN TOP PROPAGANDISTIC EFFECT!

Georgians should know it, the whole world should it! Now the Georgians themselves and first of all the Georgian opposition should use the information source and open people’s eyes to Saakashvili’s impudent deed!

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: It was no accident that Saakashvili has used exactly IMEDI channel to frighten the Georgian people! Finally, a widow of the former head of IMEDI Badri Patarkatsishvili will get the channel back, but she’ll get it with very bad record, if ever…

5. Freedom of speech does not extend to yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded theater.
Some Georgians are calling this a crime- cell phone networks crashed, there were runs on ATMS, real panic, etc. And I agree. I encourage folks to watch both the main video and the second video linked as well.

This is straight-up psyops.

Saakashvili is nuts and not enough Georgians are going along with it. So, put your own people into a state of panic, doesn't matter whether or not it's true.

Second video, BTW, near the end it draws some connections between the United States-based "Heritage Foundation" and some PR firm which Dick Gephardt (sp?) is apparently connected with.

Straight up nuts.

6. Saakashvili’s pal was arrested in Spain
Law enforcement agencies in six EU countries have detained 69 members of a Georgian criminal conspiracy, involved in money-laundering, smuggled weapons and masterminded robberies and murders.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/03/16/2846829.htm?section=world.

Police have also arrested the head of that “Georgian mafia”, Kakhaber Shushanashvili, closely related to high Georgian authorities - in fact, presumably, he acted as a go-between in president Saakashvili’s contacts with the relatives of his wife in Holland. It is possible fact that Shushanashvili could use his so much important ties to set up drug-trafficking within the EU boarders. And you know, it won’t faze me at all if later it will turn out that the Georgian president himself is involved in the European drug scene affairs!

7. The information I shouldn’t but must you to tell!
Dear forumers, this information for those of you who work for charitable causes, especially in Georgia! Please, never use the Georgian National bank’s accounts to send your money for the waifs in Georgia! Simply because there is high risk for you to be cheated! In fact, for the recent 6 months, there had been opened about 14 accounts of the kind, but hardly half of them are used for charity indeed. I work in this bank myself, and I personally know the sums of money go through some of that accounts every day. Surely 20 million of dollars are not set aside for children at all! Evidently, there are so-called ‘bad’ accounts, used by our government for budgetary money laundering or something of alike, but surely that’s not the issue. The main threat is that homeless children won’t receive any means from such accounts! So, if you interested in helping Georgian waifs, then give yourself the trouble to contact directly to the Georgian orphanages (there are lots of addresses and telephone numbers in the Internet), in this case your money will surely be send where they’re really needed!
