... like a dumbass, I took him literally instead of picking up on the fact that he's parodying teabaggers. You gotta remember, I live in Georgia, where there are people who would take this literally and think it was a good idea.

otoh...apparently colbert is very popular in the weenie-roasted-brain states (ie Georgia 'you rang?') because he 'speaks for them!' They think he's bill o'reilly, without bill's hemming/hawing!!

5. We have a related controversy
currently in our county. We have a family who owes $15,000.00 to the fire department for coming out of it's district to put out a fire. The house is essentially burned up except for the garage. I wonder if they expect the homeowners insurance to pay?

So I've been hearing local discusssions about banding together to create little local districts for the outlying neighborhoods which are out of the city limits.

What do people expect? The tax cuts for the richest 1% have reapportioned the burdens to the property tax payer. I'm pretty sure that with the foreclosure rate skyhigh it reduces the number of occupied homes that pay taxes.

Yeah, right I want Halliburton and effing Blackwater to come put out my fire and answer my burglar call. Like I trust them. ENRON that.

Whatever.
