Summary: Cenk interviews former DNC Chairman/Governor of VT Howard Dean after the bipartisan Healthcare Summit. They agree that the summit turned out well overall and that some (but not all) Republicans were surprisingly productive. They also agree that the mandate should go and that reconciliation should be used for some form a public option. Later Cenk suggests Harry Reid needs to make sure we on the public option, and Dean Agrees but he specifically suggests a Medicare buy-in as a form of the public option.

PS---TYT Network has officially launched our second show -What The Flick?! - which is hosted by Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies), Matt Atchity (Rotten Tomatoes) and Cenk Uygur ("The Young Turks"). Roger Ebert (http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2009/11/post.html|who compared Mankiewicz to a 'drive by shooting victim' because of 'At The Movies'>) sent out a tweet linking to the announcement.

2. Howard Dean Says: Drop the Mandate and expand Medicare.
The net savings even if you don't get the young people will be more than offset from the savings in the 55-65 crowd.

I love this man. He makes so much sense.

I love both those guys and that was so stimulating I feel like, I need a cigarette. OMG that all made so much sense. Oh, I wish reform would go down, with the 55 y/o buy in, I know it would hugely impact my personal life in a fabulously positive way. I spend about $300.00 per month on Rx medication to control pain from a failed back surgery. I beg my DR to make me pay for only a limited visit when I have to see him. It's very difficult. I'll never be insured again because of my pre-existing condition.

I've been turned down 3 time for SSD because I force myself to crawl out to work and bang out a living. It takes all my $ to pay for the meds that enable me to work. I'd be almost bedridden if I didn't and then I'd lose everything. It's fucked up. I'm one of those people the
Republicans would like to see "just die".

When your life is tough and there is a don't exist message out there I swear it is what makes suicide attractive to people like me.

What kind of a country makes people want to kill themselves for lack of being insurable or worthy of health care?

You wouldn't think it was one being run by the Democrats.

9. Dean, One of the few voices left of the people.
Too bad he can't credibly challenge these corporate whores in the primaries.

11. Wish Howard Dean were in his second term right now.
I like to believe that at the very least, we would have a bill that wasn't insultingly corporatist.
