MSNBC The Daily Rundown - 8 February 2010

http://thinkprogress.org/2010/02/08/andrea-mitchell-palin-notes

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Mocks Sarah Palin By Writing ‘Cheat Sheet’ On Her Hand

On MSNBC’s Daily Rundown this morning, Andrea Mitchell reported that “one of the most interesting things” from Sarah Palin’s appearance at the Tea Party Convention this past weekend was the notes written on her hand. “Very clearly,” Mitchell observed, “were some cheat sheets.”

Mitchell then mocked Palin by displaying her own hand, which had some handwriting on it. Holding up her hand for the camera, Mitchell joked that she wrote some things down “just in case I didn’t remember” what she wanted to say:

Mitchell’s joke then segued into an interesting conversation about the press corps’ treatment of Palin. Host Chuck Todd — seemingly wary of taking a jab at Palin — attempted to defend her by arguing, “We’ve all done notes.” Mitchell responded by astutely noting Palin’s hypocrisy in attacking Obama for using a Teleprompter. “So she takes all these snarky shots at Barack Obama,” Mitchell said, leaving Todd to complete the sentence, “she undermined it a little bit.”

“If Mitt Romney had notes on his hand, wouldn’t we take it pretty seriously?” Mitchell asked. Todd responded, “She has different rules.” Watch the segment:

35. Chuck Todd is such a smug Rethug cheerleader. "We've all done notes." But do you know anyone else
who wants to run for President who can't remember THREE SHORT ITEMS
in a row? And how about the fact that those were her pre-determined
answers to the question that hadn't been asked yet?

What about that, Chuckie Cheeze?

13. Chuck Todds evolution into MSM douchebag supreme ...
should be the model to illustrate how it happens ...

Now, Todd was not being "tounge in cheek" about it, his first statement was "well, we all have done notes ..." And, he equivicated both on the different rules statement and an earlier statement when she pressed it with "sometimes ..."

When I first saw him doing roll call on C-span, he was a decent guy, he seriously just called it for what it was, and I had the sense he actually was a little progressive under it ...

But, the more he has climbed the food chain, the more he has sold out to the "dems in trouble" meme and mitigating the Rs problems at every stop ...

The Dems get no quarter, but the poor put upon GOP does things "we all have done" and are just human (like corporations). They make a few boo-boos. Dem's however are traitors and crazy because they use teleprompters!

50. Um... I think maybe 6 years is long enough to move on....
That is so irrelevant at this point and this Palin story is getting some coverage that the Bush story didn't. At least (since it it is literally visible on camera) those pointing out the obvious aren't being called crazy conspiracy theorists.

Now we just have jerk offs like Chuck Todd making excused for her vacuousness (writing crib notes on your hand?? I used to do that in 8th grade) and writing different rules for her, by claiming there are already different rules, instead of holding her to the same standards as others (well others as in Democrats).

The lies that have been told by this party are extrmeley numerous, to the point that there's no way they can even keep up with them. It is so easy to catch these fakes in a lie that a school child could catch them off guard. The people that believe the lies are in severe denial. Palin is one of those extreme idiots that believes her own lies.

I think she's an actress... and she knows it. She has a "brand"....the maverick home maker with all kinds of "children" problems that they work thru with compassion. Yeah right. Would you want to be at home with the Palins? Todd and Sarah come across to me as control freaks.... with religion! YIKES! They are fakes through and through. Sarah easily breaks down into "it's about ME and what I...I....I can get for myself" (not even her family). She knows exactly what she's up to. But, like the Bushies, she's really bad at it. Those fans of hers are either with her because they think they are scoring points against anything "librul".... the word Gingrich taught them to hate. Or they are like lottery players...."I'm gonna be just like Sarah. She's just like me and look where she is....on the TV!!! I can do that! And I'm gonna win the lottery and be rich too! Just you wait!" Childish and sad.

24. Sara Palin and Hand Prompter
I don't understand when people are going to get Sara Palin?
She pushes for truth and transparency yet she is a habitual
liar (this has been proven) she and her husband have tried to
hide their back door dealings in Alaska (this has been
proven). WAKE UP PEOPLE! When the going got rough she quit
during her first term as Governor and said it was in the best
interest of her family and Alaska. They say that the
Republicans and Democrats are afraid of her. What a joke!
She talks like a school girl, there is no content to her
messages except to slander and quickie jokes. It doesn't
appear that she has studies any of the current issues except
to make a quick comment of her concerning about terrorism.
LETS MAKE HER ACCOUNTABLE AS SHE TRYS TO DO TO OTHERS INSTEAD
OF GIVING HER A FREE RIDE. . . . Can you imagine President
Sara Palin and Vice President Todd Palin?

If Palin had a brain then she could have just thought T-E-A to remember her talking points instead of writing them on her hand.

Her Tele-Palmer read:

Energy
Budget(crossed out) Cuts
Tax
Lift Up Americans

All she would have had to do was think T E A (party) for:

T - Tax
E - Energy
A - Americans lift 'em up

That makes the whole thing even more funny! ;)

She put budget and crossed it out to represent cutting the budget...but she was too stupid to understand and remember that, so she had to write "cuts" out alongside just to be sure?

Students who are weak, unprepared, or lazy - and dishonest - like to write answers on their hands although today's students are a bit more clever than that. Why was it Palin switched colleges several times?

PS... Palin criticizes a law professor president. Does she think that a cutsey-putsey smart-ass would be a better president? She is definitely skilled at being a smart ass.
