she would be out spreading the word.
Sad to see people who choose to be stupid.

8. The whole Nazi thing
nazi is an abbreviation for National Socialist.

Socialism to the Nazi party of Hitler is comparable to all the names Bush used to use to name all his acts and actions.

Example:

The Patriot Act - sounds patriotic, but really dismantles the Constitution. not very patriotic.

The Blue Sky initiative - or something like that. raised pollution standards so coal could pollute our world more.

the preserve our wilderness act - legalizes strip mining or some such thing.

And so on. I'm sure you all can name a lot more oxymoronic Bush policies than I can remember at the moment.

"Some say" that Bush picked up on this stuff from studying Nazi Propaganda. Actually, I think it was Karl Rove that was a Nazi admirer and copied from Goebbels playbook for some good old fashioned propaganda.

My point is the Nazi's embraced the term "socialism" as a means to further their police state agenda and couched it in nice terms like socialism.

In debates like these, if you do some homework and get some historical background, you can usually refute these tea baggers. Their thinking seems pretty superficial.

Another thing I like to ask any of these people is:

What's so frigging bad about socialism anyway?

-90% Jimmy

PS - at the September 11 Hartford Tea Party the day before DC I brought a 24" by 36" sign to the rally which said:

Tea Baggers are astroturf puppets of fascist corporations.

Having been almost the solitary lefty sign carrier at this wing ding, I have a newfound additional respect for Obama going down to the Republican retreat in Baltimore. But, it's what has to be done.

13. Actually it's not too far fetched to think Bush may have been a Nazi admirer
I'm not saying Rove wasn't also, but remember Bush's pedigree: Grandpa Bush was part of a group of Nazi admirers who were a step away from attempting a fascist coup to overthrow FDR and assume control of the country. Much like Hitler's 1923 Putch, it failed. Then, again like Hitler, the Bushes must have resolved to work within the system.

23. My recollection
I recall reading that Rove was actually an admirer of Nazi propaganda techniques. I also think the GW Bush administration copied from the Nazi playbook repeatedly during their totalitarian war mongering run.

Tea Baggers hate women? No? How quaint. Brown is so in love with himself that he dose not see women in the same light that other men do. She is just an idiot.

19. She's convinced that Obama is a "national socialist"
which is a "Nazi" and and a "fascist". Her tiny brain conflates "socialist" with "national socialist". Since Obama is a "socialist" (Glen Beck tells her so), then he must be a Nazi.

20. I don't mean to sound rude,
but I deal with this on a daily basis here, and I still don't know how to combat/correct/inform such ignorance. Maybe its the naive side of me, but I still feel these people are "just" misinformed, and if you could just point out the flaws in their logic, or just correct their "facts", they might open their eyes. The guy filming the video barely tried to correct her, and most of the posts here say you just have to shake your head at these people, or laugh at them, or just ignore them, but if we let them continue their ignorance, it will just spread. What can I do?

small "s" socialism (government funding of social programs) and National Socialism (racist ideology espoused by the Nazi party, amomg others). Holy Jebus.
