I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!

After Old man Rupert Murdoch kicks the bucket.
I think Ailes faces the possibility that he may indeed REALLY be shocked according to what I've read regarding the Murdoch families opinion of him and FoxNews. :)

19. K&R
FuxNooz hides their worthless so-called news service behind this:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jane Akre and her husband Steve Wilson are former employees of Fox-owned-and-operated station WTVT in Tampa, Florida. In 1997, they were fired from the station after refusing to knowingly include false information in their report concerning the Monsanto Company's production of RBGH, a drug designed to make cows produce more milk. They successfully sued under Florida's whistle-blower law and were awarded a US $425,000 settlement by jury decision. However, Fox appealed to an appellate court and won, after the court declared that the FCC policy against falsification that Fox violated was just a policy and not a "law, rule, or regulation", and so the whistle-blower law did not apply.

The court agreed with WTVT's (Fox) argument "that the FCC's policy against the intentional falsification of the news -- which the FCC has called its "news distortion policy" -- does not qualify as the required "law, rule, or regulation" under section 448.102.<...> Because the FCC's news distortion policy is not a "law, rule, or regulation" under section 448.102, Akre has failed to state a claim under the whistle-blower's statute."

MORE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Akre

- I think that the traitor Rupert Murdoch, should have his citizenship papers revoked immediately. Or at the least sent to Gitmo. I heard on FuxNooz that it's a nice place with great meals and everything......

74. And one has to ask why some effort isn't made to make the FCC policy a
regulation?

Doesn't see like anything particularly hard to do. It's easier to regulate than to legislate, and this is definitely under the FCC purview - they could do it if they wanted to.

Roger is the ultimate douchbag. His own children don't want anything to do with his Faux News act.

A recent front-page-above-the-fold piece in the NY Times, finally got around to sort of mentioning what a douchebag he is after praising him as some sort of
journalistic giant. You know Roger, getting that truth out to the masses. What's his play now to destroy Krugman's credibility?

Other networks have failed to do any real analysis or call FAUX out on this.

The whole "Health Care" debate is a travesty in my opinion. We were swindled by the corporations and special interests. And the stupid tea party idiots are out protesting against their own needs. What a comedy our political debates are. I'd laugh if I could stop crying.

Have you read any thing in the MSM about the Chilcot hearings in the UK? I looked and haven't found anything. Granted Blair got a pass and nothing
much was done to nail him, but can you imagine the monkey or Cheney in front of a Inquiry? Perhaps it's best we we're spared that. It would have been another whitewash.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misinformation">Misinformation is false or inaccurate information that is spread unintentionally. It is distinguished from disinformation by motive in that misinformation is simply erroneous, while http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disinformation">disinformation, in contrast, is intended to mislead.

64. Roger, shit man, you're shocked that Krugman called you biased?
You hired Glenn fucking Beck, for crying out loud. You run with GOP talking points lock stock and barrel, up to and including typos in the press releases, and you want to be seen as impartial?

How does this fool get any respect from anybody? Even Rupert Murdoch isn't this dumb.....

78. Not to mention the numerous times FOX has had to apologize for its lies...
Two come to mind:

1) When FOX ran a clip of Joe Biden campaigning in 2008 and he quoted John McCain's "The fundamentals of the economy are sound." Biden said something like, "John McCain says 'the fundamentals of the economy are sound..." His intention was to point out the differences between Obama, who believed the economy was in trouble, and McCain who believed there was nothing wrong. Of course, we all knew the economy was in dire straits.

When FOX wanted to give the impression that the Obama administration wasn't up to solving the economic problems, it aired that clip but omitted the reference to McCain! This may Biden look clueless...

2) FOX used video of the 9/12 Teabaggers' march to pump up the attendance at both Michelle Bachmann's and Sarah Palin's rally. Both events were sparsely attended but the Teabagger video made them look like a huge number of people showed up.

I'm sure there are more but these two come to mind...

It seems FOX is having to acknowledge there incompetence (or outright lying) on a regular basis. I don't know any other news outlet that's had to do so.

66. This is why I will continue to subscribe to the NYT so that Krugman
and Rich and others don't get shuffled off and replaced with more opinions and less fact...

68. The dems blew their chance to challenge constant "deliberate misformation"
when they refused to address the issue of a new updated FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. And now they are dealing with the effects of it.

71. I heard Joe Scabwhoreow say that when FOX started there was
finally news that a conservative could watch without screaming at his tv. The fact that they were screaming at their tv's watching legit news, should have told them something about the Republicans they were supporting. They did not need a propaganda network to tell them what they wanted to hear.

73. Paul shoulda punched Roger in the chops
only he might have had some trouble pulling his hand back out from the rolls of fat.

Next best thing, what he said. I liked Ailes' non-denial. "The American people aren't stupid..." was essentially admitting his viewership aren't bright enough to qualify as citizens.

80. beautiful! Paul Krugman for the win!
if what Krugman said didn't apply to fux, as they are always wailing and moaning about, then why did ailes rear back and take offense? The guilty make the most noise. ailes walked into a trap of his own hubris.

84. Great, Paul!

Tell people what kind of liers these thugs are! Dems should call out all those lies. These people are liars. People should be told that the right is dominated by crooks.
