1. Pharaoh, I'm not sure what it is about this movie...

that makes nobody here at DU get excited enough to post about it. I've posted clips of this film twice and have had no reaction whatsover.

Anyway, yes, I agree with you. This film looks really really good. I'm looking forward to it.

I thought it might be a popular thread, I am looking forward to watching it, perhaps it is just the fatigue of all this info that should bring the neocon house of cards down, yet nothing seems to happen...

2. I watched it last night

Did anyone else notice that there's no mention about it being unnecessary, immoral, and illegal, to just invade another sovereign nation, for nefarious reasons? I'm only going by the trailer, and some minor sniffing around on the web, but it seems like they're just arguing that it was "done wrong" -- ie. it could have been sooooo awesome if it was "done right"...

From the synopsis:

"NO END IN SIGHT" dissects the people, issues, and facts behind the Bush administration’s decisions and their consequences on the ground to provide a powerful look into how arrogance and ignorance turned a military victory into a seemingly endless and deepening nightmare of a war.

Despite how much it probably exposes, as far as incompetence and arrogance, the central theme seems to be, again, that it could have been beautiful.
