I am sure there are a lot of innocents that get convicted because "someone has to pay for crime". It doesn't matter that the wrong person is arrested and convicted. I spent 8 months in prison when an ex roomie broke into my house(to steal $ to buy crack) and clobbered me with a cast skillet then called the cops and said I had tried to kill him. I had put him out for stealing the rent money to buy crack and then slugging me when I took the money(mine) a way from him.
