MORE and FEAR

The fear of someone else having more.

Greed is not a trait, it is the result of fear, just like all the other unfounded human responses to an uncertain environment. The buffalo scared them, so they killed them. When it became profitable no body who derived a meal from that profit would dare question it without great consequence.

We have come a long way from the primordial sludge that made us, but not so far as we may like to think.

We are linked to the planet in a way we don't seem to wish to acknowledge, and we are being pulled backwards by this link, and moving forward (so we call it) from the other inhabitants of this planet at a rate that defies the simple minded man to contemplate the implications.

Thankfully we have governments and wall mart to explain it all, and if they fail, the X box (pick a number) is there to pick up the pieces.

of american propaganda & commercialism; the rub is that we are not so different from the sludge when it is all said & done perhaps rising to the lowest common denominator instead if not the sludge itself (we're so easy to play & be played), gotta have the new-newer-newest SUV that puts our collective asses some two feet higher than they most near us, that grease-orbant towel, that Tiger sponsored club that gets our ball down the fairway, that blood diamond, Levi's made in china, access to broadband, etc...

I work daily to build a better, sustainable environment in everything I do, all the while knowing we all will fall to the ravages of time.
