2. Accountability
It is (past) time for FDR style laws to be re-instated, regarding Monopolies (We are getting ready to see the world owned by just a very few wealthy companies) and policies that are aimed at protecting individuals over corporations. These corporate thieves who have engineered these "ponzi schemes", need to be jailed and stripped of their wealth. NO more bailouts for wall street. It is time to (again, past time) start good paying job programs and cancel the "free trade agreements", that Americans never agreed to in the first place. Put in place 90% wealth taxes for the wealthiest individuals and be punitive to any jobs outsourcing. Withdraw our troops and lets start rebuilding America. Fuck free wheeling capitalism, it has proven again that it is the most destructive force on earth. Class wars? You betcha ;)

3. At least one person is willing to tell us the truth. However, he does
not seem to have any answers to the problems either.

5. The dawn of the age of trillionairs.

If these handful of folks are not taxed at 90+ for the robbing and pillaging of the world, or face life in prison or ever execution for the worst offenders if the taxes and fines are not forked over; This world is doomed to the dark ages and unlimited great depressions. Do we need an FDR figure to do this; You betcha. The only people I see on the horizon to do this is Alan Grayson POTUS and Elliot Spitzer as attorney general to protect him and bring the thugs to justice. This idiocy would be gone almost overnight. We are not seeing change we are seeing a tightening of the screws and a ramping up of the policies of controlled chaos that the bushcabal began to put into place starting, at least visibly, with the assassination of JFK.

There is no perfect capitalism (though what we are seeing is not capitalism, but mafiaism) and there is no perfect socialism (though what we saw in USSR was not socialism, but mafiasim). There must be an equilibrium of the two extremes; The founding fathers were the only folks in the entire history of the world, who threaded the needle on this balancing act. Both extremes lead to mafiaism and a dead end in the evolution of civilizations whose only correction can be the guillotine or genocide trying.

7. Russia was an economic basket case under Communism
Russia has also been an economic basket case under capitalism. Does the failure of the economy in Russia say something about the relative merits of capitalism and communism, or does it say something about Russia?

act between the two extremes. Russia has gone from one to the other, without settling in the middle choosing the good and workable and vital essential from one and the other. If there is ever a utopia it will be growing the flowers of both.

13. Everything was an economic basket case under communism

Every communist country except Cuba has turned to capitalism. It says something about communism.

15. And we're an economic basket case under capitalism
Marx's predictions about the tendency of the capitalist economic system toward crisis are looking pretty accurate right now.

17. Convergence of the worst of both systems: state capitalism, total surveillance, top-down plunder
I'm afraid that empires don't compete, so much as they merge and acquire each other.

6. I played your show for my 85 year old dad. He nodded in agreement for the entire show!
And he's particular about this kind of stuff. I just want to thank you for your great information.

It was satisfying to spend an hour with my dad.

When I was a child he used to call the stock market a horse race.

Go Max and Stacey!

9. OMG, this sounds very bad - Geithner & Summers need to go, these guys are too much in bed
with the global corporatist oil megamonopoly thieves and get-rich-quick ponzi schemers.

Everyone should watch this.

16. I have said that for eons, it seems we're the only species willing to commit suicide by placebo
if there is ever an alien invasion/contact, the thing that would stress me the most would be the fact that we would have to explain ourselves to them... and the massive embarrassment that would ensue:

"Yeah you galactic honor, we sure had the technology to take care of everyone and start colonizing the universe... however, instead, we decided to just stab each other in the back and look at our navels in order to get more of these made up things printed on green paper with arbitrary numbers on them. "

That is going to go real well in our defense... LOL

18. Is Max Keiser an economic Conservative?
Edited on Mon Nov-30-09 10:15 AM by Postman
Does he think the Dollar should be backed by gold? He mentions the phrase "fiat currency" often as a sort of snub of the money system...(I know it's a fiat system)

I wonder if he would support an FDR style New Deal for today's economy or would he be more inclined to support austerity measures - cut gov't services, raise taxes on the people who can least afford it, downsize workforces?

19. Lost in the Dubai World default, is the very, very scary
fact that our last President,George W Bush, urged Dubai World to buy 6 of our key American Ports.

This should be repeated every time Duabi is mentioned.
