Dennis Kucinich takes on man-on-dog Rick Santorum on what America should be doing in Afghanistan. Par for the course Santorum has nothing but tough talk and meaningless slogans to offer. Always lots of money to drop bombs on poor people's heads, but heaven forbid don't ask anyone to pay for it by taxing the wealthy, or take care of anyone here at home instead. I think these "Christians", and I use the term loosely for Santorum, forgot about the part of the Bible that includes Christ.

QUESTION: Will the president be ready to roll out a decision in the week after Thanksgiving, or will it take longer?

ROBERT GIBBS, WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY: There are a series of decisions that have to be made, and the president is working through many of those decisions in order to come to what he believes is the best way forward for our national security. And I think the American people want the president to take the time to get this decision right, rather than to make a hasty decision.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BREAM: Next Tuesday, President Obama is set to address the nation on his proposed policy for the Afghanistan war, a proposal that may come with a $50 billion price tag. Still with us now, former senator and FOX News analyst Rick Santorum and Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich.

Congressman, I'd love to start with you. You have great concern, I understand it, about how this Afghanistan situation could possibly affect our national security.

KUCINICH: Well, it will have an effect on our national security, and I would suggest that the fight isn't in Afghanistan, it's here in our own country. We're mired deeply in debt. We'll go deeper into debt for this war. Our gross domestic product is down. Savings are down. Bankruptcies are up. Home foreclosures are up. We're doing more foreign borrowing. This war is undermining our nation, and we need to address this issue head on and ask what do we gain from this because I don't see any up side at all.

2. Santorum, as might be expected, did not even know of Dennis' voting record
How numb witted does he have to be to blame Kooch for voting for Cap and Trade, or for the BailOuts?

Since his theories about our need to be in Afghanistan are also based on false premises, he needs to go back to the drawing board.

17. Either this uber chickenhawk is to stupid to know
the difference between federal spending and GDP (Kennedy's military budgets), or he's just lying with a sincere, war is a family value, smile on his face.

3. Wow this story has as many legs as a centipede
even better than a runaway blond girl. The corppress can now avoid so many more important stories being swept under the rug, without batting an eye.

4. Love how Santorum went after *big government* in a complete non sequitur.

What a raging asshole. I swear, that man burns his toast, and he probably blames liberalism. And dig how Shannon Bream makes sure to get in the lame "cut and run" dig at Kucinich. I wish she'd think a bit harder; I find it unpleasant not to be able to like someone so stunningly beautiful.

5. We are not a peaceful nation anymore
We have a party that does not care about the welfare of it's people and is more interested in war than peace. We are not a nation of entitlements, we are a nation of corporate welfare. Why don't we get rid of Halliburton, Blackwater, KBR, and all those companies who are feeding at the government trough? The government wouldn't have to create jobs if the private sector stepped up to the plate instead of laying everyone off or paying lousy wages. The government let the private sector take control of health care and the costs have become un affordable for the middle class. I guess I'll go have a cup of coffee made from some exploited worker in Columbia and drink it from a cup made in China, probably by a child, and turn on the tv that I bought from Walmart, so that the Waltons can continue to be billionaires while their workers are denied full time employment and require food stamps to put food on the table. Oh yea, Rick Santorum is about as slick as a slug.

10. Or bring up entitlements and the "expansion of government"
when that had nothing to do with the question they were asked. They are like those old dolls that when you pull their strings they say the same thing over and over again.

I mean, after all, Santorum is a frothy mix of fecal matter and lube that results after anal sex.

9. Dennis wins again!
I love his answer in the beginning about the fake socialites. He is absolutely right when he says it's not a left right issue, there are some on the right that want out now and there are MANY on the left that want to stay. You know you are in trouble when so many on DU agree with Santorum on this issue.

12. I'm so happy that we rid ourselves of STAINtorum.
He's a fringe right-winger. He so far off on the edge of the right wing that he's about to fall off the tips of the feathers. The man's an extremist.

His attempt to turn Rep. Kucinich's position into a "reich-left" argument was so very blatant that even the average Fox viewer could see it. He's a disgusting excuse for a human being. It was a proud moment for the people of PA when we voted him out of office.

Now all he has left is commenting for the likes of Foxed-up News. What a sorry bastard he is.

For some fun, Google "Santorum" and click on the top result!
