2. Repugs aren't capitalists, they're CORPORATISTS. Big diff.
Capitalism actually works well if done under fair business practices. How can competition between two business vying for their dollars be bad for consumers?

But when repubs fight to deregulate restrictions on corporations freeing these giants to merge, merge, merge, capitalism becomes a sham.

Repubs are corporatists, not capitalists. They only call themselves capitalists to please the gullible being stolen blind in this country, and who feel proud about it too.

4. Strongly disagree
I am a radical left-wing capitalist. Properly regulated, it serves as another level of checks and balances as to how resources are allocated in a society. We can have capitalism with a corporate life-span that cannot exceed 30 years - we have in the past.

Short-life corporations, start with an idea for improvement, followed by funding, followed by accomplishment, followed by the profits going back into investors hands to do something else.

Long-life corporations, start with an idea for improvement, followed by funding, followed by accomplishment, followed by defense of the corporation, which then continues forever. That defense includes joining with others to fix prices, buying out superior ideas to keep them out of the market place, bribing public disservants to change the rules in their favor, or to help them loot the treasury.
