President Obama notes the distinctly American tradition of Thanksgiving, highlighting some of its many facets. He also gives special thanks and recognizes the men and women in uniform who are away from home sacrificing time with family to serve their country. President Obama talks about the challenges and progress of health care bills, the Recovery Act, and job creation to help in making sure that next Thanksgiving will be a better one for all Americans.

This is his weekly address, released in time for the long holiday weekend.
