After 10 months in office, President Barack Obama has granted the first pardon of his Presidency to 'Courage', a turkey.

Flanked by daughters Sasha and Malia, Obama honored the holiday tradition at this year’s Official White House Turkey Pardoning in a ceremony on the North Portico of the White House.

plus...for some reason, i loved how the turkey assoc. guy asked if he could introduce his brother and sister-in-law to the President, so respectful...and then Obama saying "of course - get 'em up here!" hee! :D

10. Another reason I am proud of our president
Though I cannot agree with some of his policies, I have to say that this pardon was much better than any of the previous ones. A little lesson and laughter in there. The perfect way to teach, and have people remember.
