Jamila tells her story about how she took on the pro-life movement on the University of Houston campus. She made a sign and started a movement. What did her sign say? Abortion is Not Murder. This is how to really take them on.

You can find out more about World Can't Wait at WorldCan'tWait.net

World Can't Wait just held its national meeting in New York City.

2. Excellent string of words: Women are not incubators.
What I would like to know - was that anti-abortion campaign that came to the campus hosted by the University?

We have another young activist to applaud.

4. The answer to her question at the end:
It is this: If you are prochoice you regard women as moral agents. That is, they can make their own decisions privately about the matter. It is not up to me or anyone and certainly not the government to make that choice for them. Therefore, you CAN be prochoice without necessarily being pro abortion.

5. Great job done by Jamila -- and a needed response -- !!!

Women make decisions over their own bodies, just as any other human being does.

In the case of women, this includes birth control and abortion.

And while her statement "Abortion is not murder" is the simple thing we need to say,

perhaps we also need to embrace the concept of "pro-abortion" because when women do not

want to be pregnant it is the procedure which gives them back their lives --

In the case of late term abortion it is a medical procedure which gives them back their

their health -- and their ability to resume their marriages and care for their

children and do their jobs every day. It is a woman's right to self-defense.

No one wants to need an abortion -- but we should reflect more often on our gratitude

that the procedure is legal and there is less sacrifice of women's lives and health where

that is true.

Often we don't see the obvious -- Jamila does!!

6. PS: Just want to comment on this "pro-life" attempt to tie into themes of genocide . . .
In fact, it was the Catholic Church which encouraged the enslavement and/or death

of the Native American and African enslaved in America --

Papal Bulls proclaimed this right to exploit these human beings --

THESE acts of genocide and enslavement were not acts of free will of individuals one by one,

but a purposeful, organized, systematic conspiracy among elites to profit from the lives of

other human beings. And often while proclaiming that this was "god's" will -- !!!

The same is true, of course, for the Jewish Holocaust in Germany --

and immediately after WWII, the Catholic Church was called upon to sign a "Confession of

Co-Responsibility and Guilt" for their role in having spread anti-Jewish fervor throughout

Europe for thousands of years.
