3. I had already seen the original clip -
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 04:01 AM by WhoIsNumberNone
-But this time around I caught something very telling: That clown who says 'When you're right, you don't have to compromise'. That's it! That's the Republican mentality in a nutshell! Has anyone ever met a Republican who was wrong about anything ever? No wonder it's 'my way or the highway' with them. That guy was a revelation into republican psychology.

And what about that guy who says we are no longer an exceptional country? Really? And when did that change? About 10 months ago maybe?

Otherwise, Cenk's absolutely right about these folks- they have been hanging on Glenn Beck's every word for months.

14. 1994
'When you're right, you don't have to compromise'

Remember 1994 when Newt Gingrich and the GOPers took both the House and Senate? He said "We will cooperate but we will not compromise." "Cooperate" but not compromise? I thought a democracy was all about compromise. I knew then democracy was dead in the world view of GOPers...

As Molly Ivins said, "GOPers don't want to govern; they want to rule."

5. Here are just a couple of comments left at YouTube:
"the worst part about all of this is that the conservative / right wing culture has created an admitted and proud anti-intellectual sub-culture....they despise intellectuals...and view anyone who is too smart as a dreaded liberal....if you care too much about helping people you are a liberal....if you believe in equality and tolerance you are a liberal....these people are proud of their ignorance....selfishness and greed....they consider them conservative values...it's a sad erosion of america"

"stupid people who like to pretend they have a clue..."

6. BUT....
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 05:21 AM by Tx4obama

Some of the lines are fixin' to blur....

Beck said this last week that 'Americans need to start thinking like the Chinese" (whoa is Beck becoming a communist?) LOL

Beck is starting up 'community organizer groups' in 2010 to register people to vote - and will also host Education or Re-education Conventions --- how bout that! Remember Palin's hateful 'community organizer speech at the 2008 Republican Convention?

Palin has now turned into a 'celebrity' -- and we all know that republicans bash celebrities 24/7 on FoxNews LOL :)

Palin ate at a restaurant the other day that serves a $25,000 desert --- sounds elitist to me !!! Article here ---> http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/144137/sarah_palin_celebrates_her_humble_roots_by_eating_at_a_restaurant_that_serves_a_%2425%2C000_dessert/

Palin had dinner with Rev. Graham ... one of those rich elitists!

Palin talked in her book about many of her Hollywood pals .. uh oh them ol' Hollywood folks - perhaps from San Francisco! LOL.

---
I guess by the time the 2012 campaign starts in earnest the republicans will have lost most of their HatefulBashing talking points ;)

7. He missed only one faction of that group....the collector.
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 06:41 AM by zeemike
There are people who collect things that they think may be valuable in the future...A signed copy of a celebrity for instance...and I would bet there were more than a few there....The young lady that just admitted that she knew nothing about it at all.
But Cenk nailed it....don't waist your time with logic with these people.
And the more I think about it the more I think that the solution is to get money out of politics, because all of this propaganda that is promoted by the right is about money in the end.

8. I am so ashamed of the central Ohio people seen in the clip.
Please realize that many, many smart people live here in the Columbus area (e.g., me and all of my friends). We have Ohio State, which turns out to do things other than football. We have library cooperative OCLC. We have research lab Battelle. We're much smarter than the doofuses in the video, most of whom turned out to be from the tiny towns and trailer parks in the Columbus hinterland.

9. Incredible!
And they should give the interviewer a Pulitzer. I don't ever see any of his interviewees directing their anger at him, which is unusual for this kind of venture. Incredible! I can't believe that these are my fellow Americans.

12. Cenk is right, the reich wing media has done its job well brainwashing these folks but the only way
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 12:32 PM by Turborama
...to deal with them is how you handle people who have been indoctrinated into a cult. Intervention by family members and friends who care, sessions with professional exit counselors and some time out in a recovery center like this: http://wellspringretreat.org

Leading up to the election I predicted a growth in this kind of activity but sadly it doesn't appear to be the case.

13. These people have been spoonfed ...
the birther/teabag line. Not a single one of them could come up with Palin's specific stance on anything, and they couldn't give any real examples of President Obama's Marxist/Leninist policy.

I like the one person that says all spending should be taken away. I'm sure if her house ever catches fire, she'll rethink that.
