1. Of course it's difficult to get Congress to want to do anything about it. Paulson and friends

got what they wanted, and there's nobody with any $$$ lobbying on behalf of the general public, even less so for the unemployed.

2. And this, of course, will trickle down to all municipal govts, until...

There is contraction, contraction, contraction...

I don't like saying this cause I'm caught in the middle of the municipal govt scenario, and we, ladies and gents don't want to make the decisions today that will further jeopardize us tomorrow.

Yet... here we are... No one listened to Krugman before, and no one's likely to take his advice now.

Just a little sunshine to sprinkle up everyone's ass.
