Its nice to see such a supportive person calling out homophobia and misogyny in the music industry. Lady GaGa recently marched in DC for gay rights - I wish more artist would speak out.

I'm not a big fan of dance music, but her stuff is great, and she actually has talent. I love her strong stance for gay rights as well.

6. She's totally right I'm mixed race and the negativity in some rap records has a lot to answer for...

That's just a reality, that's what was positive with President Obama giving out a positive role model for a change in popular culture. There is just no getting away from that we are influenced by everything we absorb and these records no matter how anyone defends or says it's just entertainment it promotes disrespect to women and GLBT communities. I get what she's saying she doesn't want to upset people in attacking a whole music culture, but things have got to change.

Although in complete fairness one or two Gaga songs might be as clean as they could be either. So, just on balance had to mention. At the same time no less reason for her to speak up and speak out.
