2. Where did this happen?
It's nice to see police involved in something so positive.

3. I think that it was Denmark. That's pretty cool that they would do that.

Speaking as someone who has been knocked down by a car and suffered minor damage to the cerebellum and spinal cord, I dread to think what would have happened without my helmet.

Europe can really teach us some lessons.

5. In PA the law requires that all children under the age of 12 (I think) have a helmet on.
They have free helmet give-a-ways like the one you mentioned from time to time.

I never saw anyone give away free helmets to adults before this video.
Of course, after reading the atricle and seeing why they did it, it really makes sense.

6. I wish they would do that here
I keep wanting to talk to my alderman here in Chicago about introducing a helmet law into the City Council.
My husband (who wouldn't even step on his bike without a helmet) says it would be impossible to enforce.
I don't see why not. But I say, who cares if they can't entirely enforce it. Just having it on the books will make a lot of people wear them, and it will save LOTS of lives and brains.
If we're serious about preventative care, helmets should be on the list with mammograms and all the rest.

Boy those Politsi give good hugs! And free helmets!

8. ???
I see the police bring out the boxes, stand there and watch 3-4 women ride by without helmets, then stop and hug the men riding by and give them a helmet. What's wrong with this picture????? Can't women have helmets too????

13. Stylish helmets, too! Where can I find one like that?
The red one I usually ride with is kind of garish. Best I could find at the time, though.
