This was sent to me via email. Can someone more familiar with the workings of Cap & Trade give this a watch and let me know if what these people are saying is legit?

1. I think these people make total sense. They are creative, informed

And use their imaginations.

However Obama uses the Old Guard, and has no use for people like these. (Now if they could come up with $ 30K to sit at a luncheon with him, he might be able to spare five minutes.)

His economic team is Old Guard.

His appointed managers over our food and agriculture, over at the Ag Depatment and at FDA, Mr. Velsick and Mr. Taylor, have direct ties to Monsanto. (Not too environmental of Obama.)

His insurance reform smacked of being written by industry, with Obama playing the part of the concilatory court jester, going around our nation and pretending he needed to convince the RW lunatic fringe of the need for reform before he could even say what his plan was.

BTW, his Adminstration stated in April of this year that they might "begin" a program of Chem trailing our skies. One of the biggest pollution activities out there, the chemtrail program has been on going for at least the last twelve years. It is altering our weather and causing endless drought in many places. (I just got in from a hike and the clouds were all chem trails. And please don't tell me that these are contrails from commercials planes. I live in a rather remote area, and no commercial pilot in his right mind flies a commercial jet above a clump of foothills, missing them by a mere 800 feet, and then than soars to 20K feet, then five miles later drops down to 5400 feet to narrowly miss the next section of foothills.)

If we need to quit polluting, I suggest ending the chemtrails and the wars. Those endless wars pollute heavily as well.

This Cap and Trade policy will only hurt the poorer and middle incomed. But then, maybe that is the point.

2. Thank you for your review and comments.
I thought they made sense too, but it came from a moderate-RW ex-coworker to an email list (and without comment), so I wasn't sure what to think.

He may have been focusing on anti-cap/trade, but what I heard was a better way of tackling this problem. I hoped I hadn't missed something.

Obama's economic team (Summers/Geithner/Bernake) scare the crap out of me, and don't get me started on Rahm Triangulation-be-we Emanuel. I don't have a comfort level with the policies they are promoting, or moreso, the options they are taking off the table - so taking a suspicious eye to everything. With my woeful lack of knowledge of the intricacies of climate change, I appreciate you and other DUers for your patience and knowledge share.

3. This is very important. Watch the video...
Carbon fees should have been started years ago. Remember Anderson in 1980 suggesting $.50 gas tax? Its the only way to get the money going toward innovation of green energy. Cap and trade will cause strange market anomalies and probably, as the video says, benefit only a few "Carbon investors" rather than the general public. Whether it reduces the march of climate change is another matter completely.
