Ford says the '93 Taurus is the only car to drive in 2010, and they think Americans will have no other choice but to agree.

1. It was between the 93 Taurus
and the '88 Toyota Pick up. However we chose the Toyota as it came with a camper shell. Kept the rain out and almost allowed a full sleeping position.

Also: Had more room to store the ramen and canned food donated by local food bank.

8. you may laugh, but guess what my husband is still driving?
He's driving a 1993 Ford Probe! It has 180,000 miles on it and looks like hell-- but he won't give it up! Says it still "runs good". LOL And believe me, we can well afford for him to drive a better car. He's a professional--an engineer. But he is also SUPER CHEAP! It gets 34 mpg so I guess I can't complain, as long as I don't have to ride in it.

9. My cheap engineer hubby is driving a 1996 Camry!
It looks like hell - the body has more paint chips than an Aboff's store, the radio doesn't work and when you break it makes a strange noise (but the mechanic said it's still safe :/ ).

I'm hoping he'll get rid of it soon...

13. this car has no insides to the driver's door,
He had to take it apart once to get the window to close. And the glove compartment is held shut with duct tape, it has rust all over the bottom--but it still runs fine. Makes me think buying another Ford wouldn't be such a bad idea.

14. Don't laugh.......
I had a 93 taurus that was still running up untill last year with 260,000 plus miles on it, A deer finally finished it off. It was replaced by a 91 Honda accord with only 181,000 miles that I am currently driving....:toast:

16. ::snork:: "Call Greg at Ford"
I love the Onion.

We had a 93 Taurus for years, until at 280,000 miles it started getting a little pricey to repair. Loved that car.

reminiscently,
Bright
