This was today (Sunday) in Fox News, when asked about the passage of the House bill.

Excerpt: "LIEBERMAN: If the public option plan is in there, as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote because I believe debt can break America and send us into a recession that’s worse than the one we’re fighting our way out of today. I don’t want to do that to our children and grandchildren."

1. I absolutely blame Reid and Obama for this....

I really do. Leiberman is just being his usual assholish, self-interested, narcissistic, egomaniacal, attention mongering self. He's doing what he's always done. It should come as a surprise to no one.

But Reid should have made him face more recriminations for what he did in the last election. Obama had less he could have actually done, but he could have been less forgiving and "bipartisan".

And the thing is they're going to let him get away with it now. They won't do anything. They won't strip him of his chairmanships, they won't punish him in any way, shape or form. For what? For maybe kind of sort of someday possibly maybe him thinking about one time thinking about voting with us?

So they won't do anythin. Because nobody wants to be the bad guy, nobody wants to wield the hammer, he'll get away with it again. And the people of this country will suffer. All because the Villagers and the beltway insiders want to play nice with one another, only the niceties are one sided.

Lieberman is a complete joke. What's in God's name people of Connecticut was thinking about. Joe the liar showed his hand when he lost the Democratic primary. Instead of going quietly, he with the help of Republicans ran as a Independent and won. Is there any way we can start a recall drive?. I know it will not happen fast, but if he see action against him to kick him outta congress, he will straighten up. Obama and Reid made a colossal mistake by giving him a Chairmanship. I don't think it's the Governments problem to take care of the health of their citizens, I think it's their duty. Just like the military.
Might Joe give up the protections the military affords him so someone can have health care?
