2. Me, too!
I was able to sing along to the whole preamble still! :) Schoolhouse Rock also taught me my times tables. It was a great series!

3. We have the DVD, my kid loves them.
It really impressed people last fall when he could explain the electoral college to everybody, and yeah, that's all Schoolhouse Rock.

13. Captain Kangaroo was my show, too...

My parents got me a genuine "Bunny Rabbit," pointy little glasses and all. LOL. I was thrilled... :bounce:

:loveya:

on edit: And I couldn't tell you whether it was in black-and-white, or not, since we only had a black-and-white TV until I was in high school...

14. Neither did we have a color TV until I was in high school
However, it's a no-brainer. CBS was the last network to broadcast anything in color. I believe CBS was still all-B&W by the time NBC's prime time was 100% color. The brass at CBS had a hard time figuring out why Bonanza got such high ratings that nothing CBS put in the 9 pm Sunday slot lasted more than one season for years.

15. I did not know that...
And you'd think I'd know a little history, since I used to work with CBS. When I was 6-9, we lived on the side of a mountain, so we only got one channel... Think it was NBC, but it wouldn't have mattered if it was in color, or not, LOL. To be honest, we never cared that it was in black-and-white. We were used to it... :-)

Usually, by the third or fourth round they warm up to it.

and offers none of the down side of those the founding fathers were repressing, while they were trying to be gain freedom to be the boss of the applesauce as opposed those stuffy Brits.

Yeah, I grew up on this stuff too, but when you think of how lightly the subject of great import is treated (I mean, how many thousands of pages have been written about the meaning of the U.S. Constitution), it's not like this teevee piece is really a step up on the educational ladder.

16. You can almost predict a person's profession by the SHR they remember most.
Lawyers - "I'm Just a Bill."

Accountants - "Zero Your My Hero."

Scientists - "Interplanetary Janet."
