Rep. Steve Israel (D - New York) condemns the use of Holocaust images by Tea Party protesters and calls on Republican leaders to apologize.

-------------------

From TPM:
And now Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) is calling the Dachau posters "inappropriate" and even crossing the red line of criticizing Rush Limbaugh's habit of equating Obama and Hitler.

Can't wait for the ritual apology. How long you figure it'll take?

23. I think that...
if more Congressmen come out against her and if the media stays on the story then she might be backed into a corner and say something about the issue.

2. He speaks as though she disagrees with the images in those signs
She is exactly the type of person who makes signs like that. They are probably even toned down versions of signs that she would make if she had free reign.

5. Too late now - the whole shitaroo is beyond the control of the republican party
They worked real hard to appeal to the haters and now they want to tone them down. They thought they could use them, but it's hard to use people who are motivated only by hatred and stupidity. Now the monster they created is about to bite them in the ass.

7. A dozen teabaggers were arrested today at her office...
they refused to leave and were tossing paper around. These people think they are revolutionaries...they are thugs and fools, nothing more.

8. The scary part is that they are going to quickly grow a persecution complex and
actually start getting violent and escalate their stupidity in the name of their "revolution".

10. It appears that is waht is precisely happening now...
but I'm willing to gamble that a few arrests will send them back toheir basements...Very few of these people really have the guts to truly fight for what the believe in, bunch of squealers, standard thugs.

12. They don't have the guts to *intelligently* fight for what they believe in.
They are so ruled by the reptilian part of their brains that it will only take a few of them, and several cases of beer downed while watching/listening to Limbeck, to do some real damage to innocent people.

14. Interesting you mention the booze part...
our own Revolution was fueled by alcohol. It staggers the mind when you look at the figures. The group that put together the Constitution were drinking whiskey by the barrels every day. Washington, during the Revolution spent so much on booze, Congress had to curt him off...then he used his own money and billed Congress...:D

17. I seem to remember reading Washington gave whiskey to audiences
when he was campaigning. Of course for Michelle Bachmann to make sense to me I'd have to start drinking again...and my health, mental and physical, just couldn't handle that.

was coming! And, why not? Why should good people sit by when batshit insane idiots whip out the Holocaust when lying about President Obama?

I was thinking the ADL would comment on this, also.

27. I was Mo Syn to until recently - I moved to the ELCA and am feeling
much better about my church. Yeah WELS is strict - but I am thinking of our Lutheran heritage of supporting our rulers unless absolutely impossible. She is definitely not following that tradition. That tradition is one reason that so many of us do not speak up.

there's nothing there that speaks of a heritage of some form of decency, it's all about Bachmann 24/7. She's a cold heartless clown...:grr:

some disciplinary action against this kind of anti-Lutheran behavior.

19. Statement from Elie Wiesel.....
From Politico dot com:

Weisel blasts the tea party 'anti-Semitism': 'Indecent and disgusting'

Not much room for discussing who saw which sign in this statement from the Elie Wiesel Foundation:

Elie Wiesel on the GOP Tea Party's anti-Semitism and Holocaust comparisons: "This kind of political hatred is indecent and disgusting"

24. Have we found out yet who made and was carrying that vile sign?
It was massive and seemed professionally made. Looks like something Randall Terry would make.

:kick: & R

Thanks for sharing, I was hoping this was going to create a shitstorm and this looks like the beginning of one.

25. MSNBC...
MSNBC has talked about that sign a lot. Olberman, Rachel, Schuster, and I think even Matthews but I haven't heard anyone mention who created it yet. I'm sure they have someone trying to figure out who was behind it like they have with other signs.
