But if he called FOX News conservative, when its really far right wing, fascist enabling, propoganda, then there is nothing to cheer about.

Most Americans think they are "conservative". And we all pay homage to the principles. Saving for retirement, kids education. Trying to be responsible when purchasing items. Also most do not want a Big Brother government telling you what to do.

In reality most Americans are also "liberal" They like spending on unnecessary items to make them feel good. And they value Social Security and many other government run services. Heck 70% want a public option for their healthcare - and believe me 95% would value a strong public option or better yet a single payer system devoid of private insurance piranhas, if you allowed them to experience it for a few years.

But the fact remains that most would call themselves "conservative" if given the choice between the dreaded "liberal" or the former. So Rush is actually helping FAUX News by branding them in line with what most Americans brand themselves.

FAUX News is NOT conservative as it supports the Neo-Con agenda of huge deficits and debt, doled out in tax breaks to the wealthy and bloated military spending (in order to slash social programs and public spending). As well the anti-conservative Patriot Act that allows government to spy on its own citizens or crash into homes without warrants is lauded by FAUX News.

So Rush is helping to mellow out their image with this. Make them seem not as harmful as they really are.

8. About a month back, chatting with Bernie Goldberg....

(I think), O'Reilly characterized Fox News as "center-right/traditionalist." More recently Fox has admitted that only nine hours of its offerings per day is news. They don't include Fox & Friends, but they do America's Newsroom and America's News Desk (thanks for putting "America's" in there, guys; I'd hate to get confused and think I was watching something out of Armenia or Laos). Still bogus, though, I'm afraid, as Bill Hemmer, Megyn Kelly, and Trace Gallagher are conservative attack dogs, and the very fetching Martha MacCallum also carries water for the conservative side, though she's not quite a Gunga Din like the others.
