With Fox News exposed as a political advocacy organization and not a news channel, that leaves msnbc as the #1 most watched news channel on cable.

4. Give me a break. I don't have TV
Edited on Sat Oct-31-09 07:35 AM by tavalon
 It was the only one I could think of. If I actually watched TV, I would likely know more about the station than I do. But, you can't really say that Faux and MSNBC are the same. That's just absurd. I wish Democrats were as good at the game. We aren't, sadly.

5. There is bias and there is outright lying. It's important to know the difference.

7. The Enormous Difference
Imagine if MSNBC hired Obama's cousin to call the 08 election if it came down to a state that was nowhere near being called. And then imagine the Supreme Court putting Obama into power rather than the voters. Seriously, stop and think about the reaction from Fox, right wing radio and everywhere else.

And as Cenk and I have said in the past, MSNBC has THREE HOURS of former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough on every day. By contrast Fox let go of their one and only "liberal" (co)host, Alan Colmes to give Sean Hannity another show. Who has Fox hired recently? Glenn Beck, Karl Rove, Laura Ingraham, Mike Huckabee and John Stossel...a who's who of conservatives/right wingers (Stossel a libertarian, close enough). Outside of MSNBC's primetime lineup, where is the comparison?

PS---Is MSNBC's slogan "fair and balanced"? Olbermann and Maddow clearly have a perspective, but they also (surprisingly at times) call out Dems and the President when it appears they are caving to special/corporate interests over the will of the people, etc. Fox NEVER does that, and it should be a non-partisan issue. Also, MSNBC doesn't incite violence and revolution, unlike Beck, Hannity and sometimes O'Reilly (Dr. Tiller).
