I blame Democrats who rushed to defund ACORN without one iota of investigation into the lies that were being told and without even trying to expose the latest stunt that has now been pretty much debunked. Once they did that, they gave these domestic terrorists their biggest weapon.

They are after Patrick Gaspard but had nothing, until the Dems caved on ACORN. Same thing with SEIU and they will continue to use that defund vote as evidence that ACORN is 'bad' until Democrats stand up and defend them.

Van Jones was another disastrous cave in to their lies and that victory gave them even more ammunition.

So now it has finally dawned on Democrats, what most of us knew. That they will never be satisfied. That trying to show them you are 'fair' gets no less of a vitriolic response than if you fight them. So you may as well fight. Now, seeing what they were warned about coming true, a long list of targets, the WH is finally fighting back.

I hope it's not too late. Cut off their main propaganda machine which is Fox. No Democrat should talk to that fake news channel. Marginalize them completely and let them squeal and throw temper tantrums. And we should go further by going after their advertisers.

Free speech is allowed as long as it does not harm somebody. This might be a little simple but it is as I understand it.

My contention is that Fox is selling a product and they advertise that product as being fair and balanced. This to me is false advertising. If they just say they are selling news they are free to tell the news anyway they want. For news to one may not be news to another.

They are selling a defective product and should be sued under those laws.

It's aimed at people who can think for themselves. The Fox/Beck/Limbaugh/Palin/Savage cultists are a lost cause and will defend their cult leaders no matter what they do. But even rightwing sites like LGF which used to tolerate them at least, have come right out and called them loonies now causing a real split in the rightwing blogosphere.

Much of what is in this video would not be contradicted by many of those former Rush fans eg. I have seen comments on rightwing blogs lately I never thought I'd see. Iow, they've gone too far even for the most Conservative voters and many are now distancing themselves from them.

And if you think about it, Fox claims an audience of 3 million viewers. All the others get that same audience. They are and always were a minority, but they were very loud and appealed even to some moderate voters, until their open hatred and racism became obvious.

The WH should not back off their stand on Fox nor should anyone else, no matter how loud they scream. They are on the defensive now and we ought to keep them there.

Their latest stunt, leaving those racist photos and comments on the GOP's official website, will just further marginalize them. One thing Obama's election should have told them, a majority of Americans reject racism, this is not the fifties anymore.

A casual watcher could at least as easily come away with a message opposite of that which is intended. ...there is no suggestion at all for what to do about the problem. I am left with the feeling that this movement is so powerful and relentless that it seems unstoppable. I don't personally believe this, but for a lot of the folks out there who are not part of the "choir", this is just as likely to leave them feeling helpless and despairing as it is to inspire them to action.

Should we be afraid of what the RW media is doing? Yes, but more than anything we need intelligent action to counteract it.
