3. When I worked for them...
(And one of my jobs was to take care of the basses for one of the finest gentlemen in music, John Taylor), I cannot begin to tell you how many *other* bassists waxed rhapsodic about what a good bass player John was and is. I mean, it got creepy in some cases, people running out of superlatives and whatnot.

The strangest was when the semi-drunken bass players for "Hawkwind" buttonholed me in a bar in London called "Frank's Funny Farm", quite the rock hang that was, and gave a one hour soliliquy about the wonderfulness of John. Hawkwind? HAWKWIND??!! That was John's reaction to it too.

4. Hawkwind?
Isn't that a prog rock group from the early 70's? I think Lemmy from Motorhead was kicked out of that band for smoking pot or something like that. I am going to google it. John Taylor is a very good bass player and seems to be a nice guy. It hasn't changed much from the Duran Duran heydays. Were you a roadie? I used to play bass (very poorly) in garage bands. I have always admired musicians who can go and play day in and day out.
