1. You have to love Nichelle.

She tells her story of when she met Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. after she sent her resignation to Roddenberry, and it's a winner each and every time. She has been an inspiration to people of color for quite a long time now.
I look forward to seeing the new film.

You doesn't need to ba a man/woman of color to be inspired by this woman.. Dam she was hot in the old days - and still are, but now maybe more for her intellect than for her body.. And I would say I find intelligent woman sexy as hell.. Even tho they also scare the jebbuz out of me for some reason or another

And if this movie is THE movie to trow mr Bush and the rest of that criminal Enterprise where they deserve. Then so Mitch better

Go Uhuru, the first black first officer on a Star Fleet flagship.. You was way ahead of your tame there Roddenberry..

Though I may not look like a person of color, I am by association, and osmosis. Growing up in the projects in Brooklyn, NY did it to me.

10. I watched the entire film (did you?)

...and her acting was excellent. The other actors were also great. It was a totally gripping, frightening and thought-provoking experience. (BTW, Mike Malloy practically begged his listeners to go watch The Torturer.)

So, either the directors and editors were awesome, or Nichelle's acting overall was fine. I'm guessing both are true.

She broke a lot of ground, and inspired a lot of people as Uhura. Anyone ever see Trekkies? The part where she talks about Whoopi Goldberg comes to mind.

7. A political thriller in modern film noir

Thumbs up to The Young Turks for a video extravaganza interview with Nichelle Nichols. The Torturer is a film that helped me understand what happens when our sacred civil liberties are disregarded. It is also very entertaining, for those who enjoy political thrillers or even horror. Andrew Walker and Mahsa Masoudi also star in the film. I'd like to see more films like this one.

8. Another sick flick downplaying the truth of torture.They tortured andkilled people they knew

were innocent just for fun and practice and to spread terror and now Lieberman and others went out of their way to make sure it is covered up forever. Sorry but she's just not the leading lady type.
