1. Wow.
The only thing worse than being gay in this country must be being poor and gay. I see no help for either group coming soon from DC.

Sad.

3. I wonder how they like the Internet left fringe when they are
online asking for donations?

13. they don't like me, I'm sure
After decades of donating, sometimes to the max although I usually couldn't afford it, and volunteering for Democrats, I've twice told off callers from the DSCC in the last week or so. I think this time they've finally done it, and a lot of us who told our more leftie friends that they were crazy saying there was no difference between the parties are actually correct, the Dems are in control and most are doing nothing to upset their BigCorp donors.

4. Why is the MSM missing the point about the Nobel prize ?
They can't read why it was given to him.
How about the FIRST BLACK MAN to be President of the USA.
Do some google people !

17. What does him being the first Black president have to do with peace?
Did Clarence Thomas then deserve some kind of prize or similar acknowledgment? I don't understand the argument here.

18. They're telling the truth; looks like Democrats don't wanna hear it though
What in anything that they said, is even very controversial? We know the establishment cares far more about white racists they like to call the mainstream, than they do about anyone else.

If you doubt this, you haven't seen ANY healthcare reform news for the past six months. Or you don't understand what you have seen.

19. Sadly, you are correct about this specific news item, marcg. That does not alter the fact
that they are both TOOLS of the highest order. I can't watch either of them for more than two sentences before I want to heave.

7. Sounds to me like this is two dickhead reporters trying to be cute,
quoting one dickhead adviser who has gone off the reservation.

I've already emailed Mr. President, recommending that he tell his staff in no uncertain terms that Lefties are hard-working, tax-paying Americans who support their families and vote in every election. We are not to be disrespected.

8. Harwood? Seriously?
Dude with the road-kill toupe shouldn't EVER use the word fringe when talking about others. Something, other than that hideous hair, isn't sitting right with this story . . .

11. Harwood should never stray from his seat on the panel of "Gwen Offal's Washington Whores On Parade".

9. See the thing is...
He makes a PERSONAL opinion-based statement about how the protesters were "fringe". THEN he quotes an unidentified "adviser" saying that the fringe were "bloggers".

There is a degree of separation here. The "adviser" didn't say that gays are fringe bloggers. He said that the fringe were bloggers. The reporter said that the protesters were the fringe of the party. And then he ties it to the White House by misrepresenting an unsourced quotation.

This is just plain stupid. They're making something out of nothing. And, if not careful, this could take precedence over the actual meaning of the day in the MSM if they debate this comment versus covering the outcome of the protest.

12. Well, it's more his approach internationally to other nations than his domestic policy...
Edited on Mon Oct-12-09 06:30 AM by GivePeaceAchance
I don't feel for a second the award is about Bush or against Bush. The award is to President Barack Obama who was the main candidate prepared to talk to any nation willing to listen. The rest of the world recognize that as a greater path to peace. Peace that's a big ask but beginning it's a very good start. The wars yeah are a seperate thing, but all other nations collectively feel part of his vision for a more united world.

It fits the mold of something he might say.

15. Not White House official said anything of the sort.
Let's be a bit more clear in the title. The title is misleading. This is a WH correspondent spreading his crap since he's a media hound. But his opinion is not the facts.
