3. Thanks, Max. Interesting stuff as usual. Quick question regarding Jim Willie's presentation.

My question is in what way does a devaluation of the US dollar work differently than hyperinflation? My gut instinct tells me that it works similar to the "stagflation" of the 1970s, where prices rise (due to a falling currency) while wages stay constant (in numerical, not value terms) meaning that everything becomes more expensive.

Am I basically correct on this or way off base? Any clarification you could give would be welcome.
