4. I disagree with Smart regarding the strategy of ceding populism to the likes of Beck.

Beck is a corporatist, knowingly or unknowingly, populism is anathema to corporatism and that's precisely why Beck is promoted by Murdoch as a means to kill populism, should they succeed, corporate supremacism will have gained a major victory.

The nation has a legitimate and urgent need to regain it's populist roots and that's why Beck must be separated from an ideology of which he doesn't give a rat's ass about.

Smart poo poos the "people" to easily for my taste and what would be the alternative, a continual slide down the "We the corporations" road.

Glen Beck is not a populist, he's a racist corporate supremacist and that's why he gets the big bucks.
