2. I saw this on Countdown last night & thought Larry Johnson was superb.
The car bomb didn't fit the m.o. of the car bombs in Iraq, the least damage to bystanders would have been ear damage, & Larry suspects it was a yuppie-type carbomber who could afford a Mercedes.

Larry highlighted how the very-real terror threat is wrongly handled by government leadership, that FDR was so correct when he said "we have nothing to fear but fear itself", & he compared the huge number of deaths caused by fighting (in wars) the threats as opposed to these type of incidents.

4. Thanks for posting this
I admit that I initially bought the MSM hype on this. We should all give thanks for people like Mr. Johnson for putting things in perspective.

6. I love how I can get the truth on Countdown
after seeing the hype everywhere else. Keith goes to someone who knows the subject and asks good questions. He doesn't just pass on the news as fact but digs deeper. We need many more of him. He's a real journalist.

Sometimes I get mad at him for questioning what the Dems are doing--but it's his job and it will make them better.

7. thanks for posting FLDem5
pretty much what he just said on his website

My main beef remains that much of the cable news media reacts to this nonsense like a fifty year old guy on Viagra or Cialis--they pop major wood. And the same warnings are appropriate--an erection lasting more than four hours may be harmful. Amen.

11. I love KO, but I'm thinking he and Larry Johnson are looking a bit foolish now --
with the UK on highest alert, "critical," possible imminent attack. Olbermann's "Nexus of Politics and Terror" is so important because it shows how stuff can be brought out of the files as needed for political purposes. But when you have an actual incident -- a car full of explosives, for example, even if not capable of wiping out a city block -- you've got something different. I, for one, hope "Countdown" will make this distinction in the future.

12. we're being played like a banjo, one string
these pigmedia/civic authorities guys are so obvious in their use of terror-if real terroristd were threatening, they (police, authorities aka mr pig's boys) hide the fact, cuz they MAINLY terrified of creating panic, unleashing enraged population. Why don't terrorists claim they 'poison the city water supply' and putting the note in a suspect car with sample of poison etc? Because the police/gov/media publicly IGNORE the threat while secretly hunting down the perps, iow real terrorists waste their time warning us, and know it....you can tell who they're (mr pig's hirelings)are conning by how they report the story. 911 was staged, like an fx movie, and all the public reactions pre set using elaborate focus groups/polls, private of course, but at vast public expense. Mr pig works BACK from desired results, and the terror attacks are just part of the job...hiding facts from public is the bigger pArt of what mr pig's boys are doing
(during media discussion of the Iraq WMD scientist David Kelly 'suicide' in britain in '03, an expert explained that '99 percent' of the secret services activity involves media, making, promoting false info or destroying and hiding factual info- kelly's death showed how controlling news/information was in fact the only real life/death issue on earth)
And the fact this simple obvious truth remains unmentionable says the game is over; we're all busheviks
