Speaker Pelosi choked up answering a question on the current political climate and potential violence over the current healthcare debate. She recalled the hostile climate of 1970's San Francisco, which resulted in two political assassinations.

3. You ought to have heard Hugh Hewitt yesterday

I've taken to listening to talk radio, as much as I can stand anyway. Hugh Hewitt was going along fairly benignly, ragging on Obama of course, and then went totally over the edge; ranting about the end of the United States as we know it, and literally (I mean literally) threatening senior citizens that they would lose their Medicare if they didn't call, write, and fax their Congressmen now ..... AND donate to the NCCR or something like that.


That's why I say that the racist angle to this is deliberate on the GOP part and a distraction on the liberal part. The GOP knows what it is doing, this is a giant fundraiser for 2010 that they are doing. As usual, they don't care who they hurt as long as they win back seats in 2010.

like that drivers' test some years ago on one of the networks. Plus personality type studies and communication styles studies in the public interest should be revealed on specials out there prime time. And after that, maybe, just maybe, we'd all know a little more about our place in a global society and those who have a problem with Dems and/or the liberal government intended by the founders might 'curb the enthusiasm'.
