He took some potshots at her at the end of the interview and I think her rejoinder was flawless.

1. Rachel is a class act!
That's all. I aplaud the fellow for at least being a civil person, concerned about the lunacy out there.....on the right and the little bit on the left as well. I would HATE to be associated with the right in any way shape and form today. I can remember back in the days of Eisenhower and Nixon, there being a different of thought as to how much influence the federal government should have over the states and that affecting taxation by the feds. But holy Jesus....they've gone into the toilet since Nixon was disgraced and the reagon/gingrich nightmare began. It's been a downward spiral into the depths of the sewer since then. A sad day.

2. PERFECT!
I've said recently that our approach to their b.s. has to change, and this guy's making a parallel argument!

3. Henke's okay -- but VERY inexperienced in interviews
The "Guano Crazy" wing hates him. Once he develops his chops, he'll probably be a serious contender in the Meghan McCain wing of the party.

I'll still oppose most of his politics, but at least he won't be pushing the lunatic nonsense that the Right is so enchanted by today.

4. We love Rachel.
She deserves more appreciation for her work. She should really be a mainstream TV analyst because her views are in no way crazy or "out there". The M$M moved into crazy land leaving reason far behind.

7. Can't get more mainstream than MSNBC
As far as cable goes. I suppose one of the old big 3 networks is more "mainstream", but their viewer base is going to the cemetary faster than they are going to the polls. Rachel has made great progress in just one year, and if she keeps this up, she will be as trusted as Walter Cronkite in another 3-5 years.

6. I betcha Rachel will be seeing more of him
Edited on Wed Sep-09-09 06:26 AM by tomm2thumbs

no doubt they realize the value of her national air time and audience - and they figure you can't change minds at the local level so they are going to try to do it through talking softly on HER show but then waging horrors of attacks behind the scenes. seen this many times before.
