Various views and reports from the media on today's Health Care news. Weiner gives a great ending to the fact that suddenly Republicans are defending a single-payer system - Medicare. Irony? Weiner continues to accumulate good cred with Democrats and this is no exception.

3. Wouldn't it be ironic
Ironic if the Republicans actually pulled a switch on Obama. The President and Democratic leadership never let 'single-payer' even get on the table so what if the Republicans came forward with a single-payer plan that everybody could support. All of a sudden a bill that should be a big winner for the party in power becomes a victory for the other side. Of course it will never happen because the Republicans are too beholden to their corporate bosses but one can dream can't they.

5. knr for Weiner. Indeed, it's hypocrisy on the part of the Republicans, and
I actually doubt that they would promote single payer or Medicare for All. But, perhaps the concept is sinking in slowly. It would be quite the twist of fate if Repubs started promoting Medicare for All prior to Dems getting on board! LOL!
