7. I like this guy, he seems sharp, scrappy and principled.

someone willing to fight for what is right for the American people, with a tempered realism. I think he's misreading Obama's position and strategy though. Obama's strategy of lobbying and playing the stakeholders behind the scenes, and publically marginalizing the opposition as obstructionists and loonies is working quite well. I predict he succeeds in some form of public option.

he held his own with Matthews--and I think that Matthews respected him for that. Weiner didn't back down and didn't let Matthews put words in his mouth.
