1. "No Federal Funding for illegal immigrants"
As The Good Lord teaches us: "Help not he who crosses borders without permission from the government, nor help his children should they get sick or knocked down by a car. For they are unworthy of your sympathy and shall slowly bleed to death."

:sarcasm:

15. People do not understand Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan
because they do not understand that, not only were the Samaritans from a different country than the Jews, not only did they believe in a different religion than the Jews, but their "founder" had been cast out from the Jewish people because of intermarriage with someone who was not Jewish. That is my understanding of what a Samaritan was -- not an enemy, but a foreigner for sure. People read the story of the Good Samaritan and don't understand the context and therefore do not get the message -- which is a very good one.

3. When public figures say that they will never vote for a bill that
kills old people, it perpetuates the myth that has so bizarrely begun to stick with some. He should say someting along the lines that there is no fucking bill that kills fucking old people! Instead he says it like it exists and he is taking a stance against it. These guys are such scum.

5. Bingo!
It suggests that there actually was a bill to kill old people. Stupid friggin typically selfish conservadem bluedog jerk.

I say 'selfish' conservative because they stab their own party repeatedly in the back. And rather than saying "there is no such bill and there was never a provision for death panels or killing the elderly and that end of life counseling is optional."

Rather than this he accepts the republican spin prima facia, plays to it, and then sets himself as morally superior to the democratic party while creating a cover reason for voting against it.

ERROR Spine not found. Please contact home district for primary challenge.

9. There was been Bills to kill old people
Edited on Mon Aug-17-09 11:31 AM by atreides1
And young people, it's called Iraq War Resolution. And since Mr. Ross has been a member of the House since 2001. odds are that he voted in favor o9f the IWR!

Maybe someone should tell him that he's already voted on a Bill to kill old people, just not American old people.

4. Very cleverly stated. Other than the part about immigrants, he can vote for the bill
... that has been proposed by the Dems.

8. Good, so he's going to vote for the public option?
Just checking, but he does know the current lack of healthcare is killing tens of thousands of people right now, doesn't he? Maybe he wants to kill young people also.

Kicking so everyone can see how stupid some of these people are. I hope his coverage, that we pay for, includes mental health coverage .... he needs to use it, if so.

10. Great news! That means he is FOR a STRONG public option -
because any bill that does not include a strong public option is a bill that WILL kill old people, young people, uninsured and underinsured people.

14. I agree with you and....
....I'm not as tough on Ross as so many here are. Listen again, to what he says. He won't vote FOR a bill that supports killing old people. Neither will any other congressional reps. That declaration doesn't sould so damming to me.

12. I think he's saying he'll support a public option but pointing out that
that doesn't include all those false claims.
