1. Obama is rendering people? WTF. Disturbing, sad, inhuman, and counterproductive.

2. I had hoped President Obama and his DOJ would end "rendition"

and torture or torture-lite.

President Obama has made lots of diplomatic moves that I've been glad to see.

Those co-exist with allowing too many of the Bush-Cheney Gang's illegal practices to continue.

And as Thom points out, the guy Scott Horton is talking about took some bribes but we have years of massive war profiteering by KBR and Halliburton that goes unpunished.

I voted for President Obama hoping habeas corpus would be restored and those who defied the Geneva Conventions would all be prosecuted. Not just a few "bad apples" but the Bad Apples in Chief.

Our country needs to make a massive shift in consciousness from "free market" (i.e. cash and weapons dominated) economics to regulated capitalism with strong social and environmental safety nets. I think that if millions of Americans are able to see prosecutions of a hundred of the thousand crimes committed in our name by the Bush-Cheney Gang, that will help them accept that very serious changes are needed.
