Another sick example of how the recent atmosphere of mobbing and intimidation is being capitalized by the GOP.

Todd Akin (R-MO) should be very aware of the painful history of lynching in this country. These people are creating a monster by inciting mobs and riots, and it can get dangerously out of control.

PS: what's also disturbing is how the AUDIENCE APPLAUDS THE IDEA OF LYNCHING DEMOCRATS! This is all very sick and dangerous!

5. I wouldn't write off the state as a whole or the south

but the specific people involved have to recognize this is 2009 than 1809. I don't understand how they have no ounce of shame when thinking has developed hugely since those days. There are real good folks in the south only have to hear the bob kincaid show to know that's true and United America should try its best to never leave them behind they need all the support they can get. Sure it ain't perfect down there but giving up on the south is giving up on things as a whole. It's just a vocal minority who are mostly misguided in the end. We've seen the swing in the polls things are changing, this is just the last throes of a fading era. As long as we ride it through, I'm sure it will be calm seas the other side.

6. Not in some places in Missouri.

Many in St.Louis and Kansas City refer to rural Missouri as "outstate". It is almost the same division as what occurred during the civil war, Missouri is still a balancing act border State. In many places "outstate" Jim Crow is alive and well and development arrested in the 1860's. Add to that many Republicans in the last 70 years along the Missouri River valley are descendants of the American Bundt.

our chances of survival our good. If they really did want that fight then ther sums aren't too great. Anyone that mentions of their revolutionary ideas just get 'em to do the math and think again. Peaceful is their only option any other way would work out very messy for them. As I say a lot of wonderful folks down in the south and those that are not need to think again and think real hard, a peaceful democracy is in their best intrests more than ours. The ballot box is the modern and sensible way with civilized debate.

The phrase "...against their own self-interests" is bantered about. These people are, indeed, addressing their self-interest and that is their unfathomable hatred of blacks and President Obama in particular. They couldn't care less if every tooth fell out of their head (most have lost quite a few anyway) or they get terminal cancer and their insurance company (if they have any at all) won't cover them - just so long as that black man in the White House is taken down. Why else would they use that loaded term "lynching?"
