I have 3 herniated disk in my neck and am a candidate for disk replacement, which is a better long term solution than fusion (removing the disk and just fusing the bones together). However, since it's workers comp insurance and although other contries approve of 4 level disk replacements, the FDA hasn't approved even 2 level yet, so Insurance denied it. Now I have to go through fusion, which means that I get to look forward to more surgeries in 8-10 years. Of course I can 'pay for the replacement myself'... Sure, lemme just pull that $75,000 to 80,000 for the proceedure, cause that's pocket change for me... <rollseyes>

It's bureaucrats who are stopping proper treatment now... These 'mobs' are nothing more than patsies for the healthcare industry and GOP.
