Summary: Cenk and Ana play and break down a clip of a misogynistic gym owner (they show an ad for the guy's gym later in the video that will blow your mind) on Fox News criticizing Obama's pick for Surgeon General claiming that she's 50-60lbs overweight because she's lazy and makes poor choices, etc. He thinks this will set a bad example for the US with the obesity problem. Cenk disagrees and Ana is (rightfully) PISSED. If you think she's overreacting, make sure you watch the entire video.

7. This made me think about a local gym's policy. Need DU check on my imagination here.

There is a local gym that I thought I would like to use because it's inexpensive, it's self-service 24 hrs., and it's close by. The downside is that it's not the latest equipment and is all around shabby, but what do you want for $25/month with no contract?

So I went in to pay for a membership and get a key. I am standing there talking to the owner being blasted by obnoxious music. I have no idea who the band is but I will show my age and bias here by saying that I don't expect a 30-something year old man to be blasting head banging teenaged boy annoy my parents music in his place of business. I was clearly unable to hear him, I would think that I was visibly annoyed after the third time I had to ask him to repeat himself, but I though he was just stupid and perhaps rude.

Now, I'm wondering if that music isn't deliberate. If that music isn't obnoxious and loud to discourage people who don't care for that kind of music. Take your pick on who they might not want in there: gay people, older people, black people, people other than the kind of person who owns this place?

Of course, I'm making the assumption that loud head banging music isn't something most 35 year old men would listen to while working out. I understand that for some people there is an angry challenge to this, a battle between the weights and their body.

But it's interesting how a person can view something as simply as the music and volume in a business.

How much does Anti-Gym's Michael Karolchyk owe to the IRS?

Karolchyk has some fat ass tax liens.

As you've probably heard, the mean ol' IRS shut down the Anti-Gym earlier this month, forcing hundreds of self-hating exercise masochists out into the "fatty lazy" world. But while many media outlets have taken great joy in chipping away at the colossal ego known as Michael "No Chubbies" Karolchyk, no one has bothered to report how much the Anti-Gym owner owes to the feds.

While Karolchyk was spending thousands on television commercials and full-page ads in glossy magazines, he was apparently neglecting to pay unemployment and payroll taxes. According to documents filed with Denver County, Karolchyk is on the hook for at least $184,078.76. The IRS filed its first lien last April for an unpaid balance of $115,978.56 accrued during the first nine months of 2007. Last September, they slapped Karolchyk again, this time with a lien for $68,100.20.

No word yet on whether Karolchyk has any debts from his 2008 taxes. But it's clear that the IRS will be giving the Anti-Gym's tax filing a thorough workout

The worse it gets, the better it gets for Michael Karolchyk, owner of the Anti-Gym, which shut down Wednesday.

At least thath’s what he thinks.

The Denver fitness club became famous for insulting its clients by calling them chubbies and throwing cupcakes at them during workouts.

Karolchyk told me Friday that the IRS caused the closure.

“For two years I’ve been fighting an IRS claim for back taxes,” he said. “My legal team made the decision.”

He’s also fighting two other “bogus” lawsuits, he says, so he figured it was time to pull out.
