3. Oh heck she is typical of the vile Republican filth in the Missouri legislature.

I could go on for days.

The nick name for my Representative is Jabba the Hut, based on appearance and degree of compassion.

4. My disatisfaction with the Democrats is that they are too conservative. With the Rebublicans, it is
that they are heartless, hateful, self-righteous, un-sympathetic, and constant liars. I choose the Dems. over the Repubs. most often. Compassion rocks, unsympathetic blather, sucks.

5. For the record, I worked for McD's when Nixon was president
I don't know about now, but in those days we had to pay for our lunch.

8. 1st, what a vile pig that woman is - shame is upon her - esp. for her 'advocacy' position!
I've spoke to several McD's employees, as when I worked at a franchise in the early 90's I could eat whatever I wanted (and boy did I), and they tell me varying answers from they get up to $5 in items, to, they have to pay 50% of the retail. I'm thinking more and more it's 50% of the retail as they want to show profit from any disbursement of food, and you know that they'd make profit even if they cut their prices in half.... $3.50-4 for a tiny piece of grilled chicken on a 20 cent bun...

7. Cold-Blooded
I am sure that hungry people everywhere will be empowered and encouraged by this woman's words. :sarcasm:

What a piece of work.

9. yes, what a darling of inspiration she and her words are!
such a wonderfully sounding compassionate soul!

She doesn't reference all the kids who can't work because they're too young, who are starving, or the kids who are teens that watch their little sisters or brothers, or care for an aged or handicapped loved one... that woman needs censored by her state senate - but they won't of course - because most of them are cold-hearted like her.

what a mean soul she is.......

10. For a second I thought she was MY state rep!
After seeing the Countdown segment I googled Ms. Davis and found her district to cover many of the areas around my home... I quickly pulled up a state district map and much to my relief found that the 19th district (which Ms. Davis represents) ends a little less than a mile from my neighborhood... far too close for comfort.

While she may seem like another conservative nut and many of you are wondering how someone of her intellectual capacity could ever be elected... I must sadly inform you that she adequately represents a larger number of like-minded citizens than we would hope. I would venture a guess that a disheartening number of people in her district (and St. Charles County) share similar views, while the rest of the public is simply too busy scrambling to keep their jobs and feed their families to keep up with the incredible statements spouted by Ms. Davis.

I've heard rumors Davis is term-limited and will be ineligible to seek office next election, however, it is speculated that her husband (cut of the same cloth) is being groomed to replace her.

I am in full support of free speech and constructive discussions in government and society (in fact, as stated by almost every American, those beliefs are the absolute foundation of this incredible American Experiment) however, for discussion to be constructive it must be informed and (at least semi-) logical. Both of these qualifying attributes are completely absent from Ms. Davis' analysis of the Missouri Summer Meals program.

I wish no ill for Ms. Davis nor do I condone the ugly parts of the wrath which is likely to befall her in the next few days, however, in our society's current economic (and technological) condition, statements like those uttered by Ms. Davis cannot (and will not thanks to the internet) go unnoticed or be allowed to prevail as common wisdom. Those with understanding and compassion for individuals (especially children) in an underprivileged condition must serve as their voice and fight against the forces of ignorance and intolerance which seek to destroy what little hope the poor and hungry have left in the society which so often casts them aside.

Therefore Ms. Davis, I hope your words are not remembered as monument to your ignorance of the poor's plight or the incompetence of Missouri's elected officials... but rather, that your comments have a rallying effect in support of the very cause they were meant to destroy and that you are forever remembered as the woman who helped save the lifeline of so many young children across our great state, despite your best efforts to the contrary.

11. The actual release
If you want to read Ms. Davis' actual words about the program, here is the link to her newsletter... (I warn you, this page contains dramatic voids of morality and humanity which may not be suitable for all audiences, reader discretion is strongly advised)

13. What a piece of work
I went to her website, and her comment page is hilarious and quite Stalin-like. You can't choose your own subject heading; you can only pick from such gems as "Thanks for doing a great job". I was tempted to leave a comment to let her know what I think of her compassion, but, since I don't live in Missouri, I didn't feel it would have had much of an impact.

I see that she's a "Pro-Lifer" too. Typical. Love the fetus, hate the child.

What a flipping cretin. :eyes:
