He hired all the cab drivers to ferry them --the cabbies got something like five bucks up front, five bucks at the end of the day. The cabs ran from the south to the main square, and he got a crowd together that would have been the envy of Warner Brothers' Extra Casting in the heyday of the silver screen!

"They" say, though I haven't seen them, that there are some photos of the demonstrators cheering while waving their cash!

( which is another act of war ) and the U.S. public complicit in the occupation of Iraq , wants to pretend , THEY have a democracy , while under an OCCUPATION .

Stop the Drone Attacks , the occupations , THE KIDNAPPINGS aka renditions ,the funding and training of African nations (dictators )TO ATTACK IT'S NEIGHBORS , .....THEN , THEN , THEN open your orifice and whine about Iran's elections .
